STOP Colorado's Medical Red Flag Scheme!

A Petition to Director Jill Hunsaker Ryan and Governor Jared Polis

WHEREAS: The right to keep and bear arms is a God-given right protected by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article II, Section 13 of the Colorado Constitution; and

WHEREAS: The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law; and

WHEREAS: “Red Flag” Laws openly violate the rights protected by the first and fifth amendments and CDPHE’s new guidelines direct and encourage participation of the medical community in these violations; and

WHEREAS: Colorado gun owners will deprive themselves of necessary medical and mental health services out of ongoing fear of their provider participating in such actions; and

THEREFORE: I urge you to immediately remove resources which openly guide and encourage Colorado medical professionals to violate the rights and privacy of their patients.
